President PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif attended the cheque distribution ceremony of "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program at the Expo Centre. made the fortunates sit beside them who were declared eligible for getting a loan under "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program. President PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif distributed cheques among the lucky ones who were declared eligible to obtain a loan under "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program. In the ceremony, a documentary about Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program was presented. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif while addressing the ceremony said, “I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart to Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for coming on my request as without him this event would have remained incomplete. May it be the Punjab government or Government of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz Sharif or Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, this vision is attributed to Nawaz Sharif only”.
The Chief Minister said, “The dream about the development of Pakistan that started in 1980 belongs to Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. "Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar" program is the vision of Nawaz Sharif. when I go back home from office, he takes updates about the project from me. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif directs me that I should spend all my time in the service of the people. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif advices me to have the intention that whatever whatever I do will do for the betterment of the people and Allah Almighty will help in this regard. Whatever I learnt with regard to work hard and fulfilling the promises, I learned from Muhammad Nawaz Sharif”.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “It is a matter of great pleasure for me that the first installment of the loan to the public in a short period of one and a half months is being given. Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, is a mega project of Rs. 700 billion to be completed in 5 years. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif instructed me to build a house for the people and rest will be taken care of by them. I am very pleased that people have faith in the government of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and people are giving a very high response about the projects. Equal loans are being given in all districts under “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program. “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program was launched a few days ago and Alhamdulillah, we are giving loans on it today. 5 lakh applications were submitted under the Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, and we decided to give loans to 5 lakh people. Five lakh houses will be built in the next five years.”
She said, “ the Punjab government will give loans to the land owners of one to five marlas in the city, one to ten marlas in the villages. We worked day and night to fulfill the dream “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program. The conditions for obtaining a loan were strict, after abolishing all such conditions, we asked the people to obtain a loan by showing the identity card and ownership papers. We would give a loan of one lakh in a year through transparent balloting. I strictly directed that loan installment of Apna Ghar program should not be more than Rs.14 thousand. There is zero interest on getting a loan under “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program and not single penny of interest will need to be paid. A person getting a loan of Rs.15 lakhs will have to pay only Rs.15 lakh years in 9 years because we want to the general public in real sense.”
She added,” We have tried to keep the installment as low as possible. It has been recommended to pay the loan in 4 installments, which was abolished and reduced to 2 installments only.There are no hidden charges in Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program loan. 3 months is a grace period and first installment of loan has to be paid in the 4th month. It has been recommended to put a condition of surity but I directed the concerned to have faith in your people. Inshallah, they will pay off their loan. The front design of the house has been standardized. We will try to increase the number of loans of Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program as we have to spend the trust money of the people on their welfare as parents feel concerned about their children. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz Sharif are worried about the shelter and house of their children.”
The CM said,” We are working day and night to serve the people. The country is in a position to take off. Inflation is coming down and progress is being made. New projects are being launched. We are working hard day and night, but it's a pity that some people are focusing on vandalising, killing instead of fulfilling their responsibilities. She doesn't want to answer abusive language as she has no surplus time. Allah Almighty has assigned me to serve, not indulging into abusive language. The anarchists gave so many protest calls, somewhere 2 people and somewhere only 7 people came. Only 2,000 people from all over Punjab gathered in Lahore. People from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were arrested and brought to the rallies. Does any civilized nation behave in such a manner? You want to indulge into confrontation with another province. We are all Pakistanis and will not allow to happen all this chaos and unrest. One who is locked up in Adiala jail makes calls from the jail to attack some place, abuse someone or hold a public rally. Have you ever heard that a person in jail said to provide free medicines to the citizens, build a house. Sometime he sends a message of food items from prison. Politics can be allowed but political confrontation and terrorism cannot be allowed. I never heard that he said to issue health card, Kisan card, and always heard to vandalize some place or torch public property.”
She said, “We launched the children's heart surgery program was started, Alhamdulillah, 200 children under went operation in a few days, including children from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Punjab has a big heart and we are residents of one country. They can come for treatment, employment, education as our doors are always open, but setting public properties on fire is not acceptable. They have found out that the Punjab government is running smoothly and now they will not find a place to hide their faces. A person detained in a jail has only trained his followers how to spread sedition and mischief. The person sitting in a jail has only given this training not to let Pakistan move forward. People are giving a positive response on the development projects being launched by the Punjab government.Burning public properties, vandalising and riot is coming to an end. Now the talk of development has started, the people who spread this mischief will be forgotten.”
The CM said,” I felt overjoyed while seeing ‘Clinic on Wheels’ on the way. We have done whatever could be done for the welfare of the people of Punjab and all basic facilities have been delivered to their doorstep. Let this country move forward,provide ease and comfort to the people. People consume their energy and money in building a house and you don't feel sorry for burning their precious settlements.”
